I believe Waitakere has much to contribute to the new city, but that should not be at the expense of our identity, environment, or our community assets and services.  I am committed to the protection of the Ranges, strong community partnerships, fair rates, local democracy, improved public transportation including cycle-ways, and a vibrant and prosperous Waitakere.

Living in the Ranges over 20 years and raising my family here, I take pride in our outstanding landscape, unique westie lifestyle, cultural diversity and wonderful civic and recreational resources. These are worth protecting.

As Chief Executive for aid agency TEAR Fund I am experienced at working with communities internationally and locally, and supporting and resourcing their goals for sustainable economic development.  I work with central and local government, NGO’s, community groups and churches.  I want to put this experience to work for Waitakere.
