Yvette ROBERTSON. Future Whau, Whau Local Board Candidate

Having lived in West Auckland for over 35 years I am passionate about the environment and in particular preserving our Waitakere Ranges. Keeping public assets in public ownership, listening to and giving our people a voice and caring for our elderly are some of the issues that concern me.
I am a teacher of English and Adult Literacy working closely with new migrants, assisting them is one of my core responsibilities along with maintaining interpersonal skills with people from all cultures.
I am a member of my local ratepayers and residents association and I support many charitable organizations.
Team work is an important part of achievement and the complexities and challenges of a new city will present us with many challenges and opportunities to deliver for West Auckland-we WILL deliver.
